Borna is a UC Berkeley master’s student studying renewable energy systems and clean technologies. He hopes to combine his passion for engineering and business development to promote the implementation of smarter systems in urban environments and clean energy infrastructure in developing regions of the world. During his senior year, he worked as the connectivity and algorithms engineer on a solar power prediction project that sought to provide a reliable, 100% diesel-free energy alternative for standalone solar users and micro-grid communities. Borna has a B.S. in Civil Engineering from UC Berkeley and has a background in product management and business development for socially impactful tech companies. But don’t be fooled, Borna isn’t all work– he loves the outdoors more than fish love water. On his free time Borna likes to surf, hike, swim, play Frisbee, and is widely known for cooking the best Thai Curry west of the Mississippi.
